What to expect at your evaluation

In order to schedule please text or call our office at (503)-839-0394. You may also email us at rehabinfo@canineptandme.com. We will go over all treatments and services along with cost information before booking. There is also a non-refundable deposit due at the time of scheduling.

We treat patients as early in the morning at 8am and as late as 5:30pm (for an evaluation). We even have Saturday availability!

The evaluation is 90 minutes. This gives time for the doctor to complete a full exam and give your pup their first session of rehab at the time of your first appointment!
Follow up appointments are an hour long.

Yes. But don’t worry – we collect everything needed for your pups evaluation to make sure setting up their rehab is seamless for you. In order to give your pup the best care, we collect all medical records, x-rays or other images, and a referral from your primary vet and any specialists involved in their care. We want to ensure our doctor has a full understanding of your pup’s needs!

Sessions typically include manual therapy, stretching & exercise, hot stones, I.A.S.T.M, cold laser, TENS unit, and a PEMF bed. We use a combination of different modalities as needed and appropriate for each dogs’ needs.

Yes, we have acupuncture and shockwave therapy.

Every dog is different so in order to determine the best plan of care for your pup, our doctor will give her professional recommendation at the time of the evaluation. Each plan of care is individualized for each pup and can change depending on their needs.

What Pawrents Say

“I contacted Dr. Kelsey Jonas after my 1.5 year old dog had surgery for bilateral elbow dysplasia. We met weekly and received clear instructions on what to practice at home. My dog was getting more and more excited each week when we headed to the door of her office because he had so much fun during the visits! There were lots of treats and praise and he became friends with Dr. Kelsey during the first session. She is kind, patient, easy to communicate with and she was always adapting to what my dog was willing and able to do. She also never sent us some with exercises that felt impossible to do and I was not required to buy any equipment. I could train with my dog using items that most people will have at home.”

“Our BC mix, Cinder, fractured 3/5 of her metacarpals in January of this year. After 16+ weeks in a splints, she was ready to start getting her strength back so we could see if she’d make a complete recovery. Our vet recommended that we work with a PT and after some asking around, we were able to connect with Dr. Kelsey. Over the course of the summer, Dr. Kelsey slowly built up Cinder’s strength, balance, and coordination. She went from limping every morning to having crazy zoomies up and down hills. It was amazing! It’s also important to note that Cinder is a challenging and nervous patient. Dr. Kelsey worked with us to make her sessions as stress-free as possible <3 10/10 recommend Dr. Kelsey and her practice to ANYONE!”

–Corie T, Cinder’s mom

“Dr. Jonas did a wonderful job with my German Shepherd mix who has some anxiety issues. She was very patient and worked with him at his pace. She is very knowledgeable not only for canine physical therapy but also with their behavioral signs so she can keep the dogs engaged. There were plenty of options to do the homework without a lot of equipment. My dog definitely gained strength from his work with Dr. Jonas. I highly recommend Canine PT and Me if your dog ever needs any type of rehab or physical therapy.”
