Making your appointment with us is easy, but what happens now?
Your pup’s care is important to us and in order for your dog to get the best care, you need as much information as possible to make the best choices for them.
We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions for your convenience including information about the evaluation process, the treatments we use, and more!
What to expect at your evaluation
How do I schedule my pup’s evaluation?
In order to schedule please text or call our office at (503)-839-0394. You may also email us at rehabinfo@canineptandme.com. We will go over all treatments and services along with cost information before booking. There is also a non-refundable deposit due at the time of scheduling.
When can I schedule my evaluation?
We treat patients as early in the morning at 8am and as late as 5:30pm (for an evaluation). We even have Saturday availability!
How long is the appointment?
The evaluation is 90 minutes. This gives time for the doctor to complete a full exam and give your pup their first session of rehab at the time of your first appointment!
Follow up appointments are an hour long.
Do I need a referral from my veterinarian?
Yes. But don’t worry – we collect everything needed for your pups evaluation to make sure setting up their rehab is seamless for you. In order to give your pup the best care, we collect all medical records, x-rays or other images, and a referral from your primary vet and any specialists involved in their care. We want to ensure our doctor has a full understanding of your pup’s needs!
What treatments are being done?
Sessions typically include manual therapy, stretching & exercise, hot stones, I.A.S.T.M, cold laser, TENS unit, and a PEMF bed. We use a combination of different modalities as needed and appropriate for each dogs’ needs.
Do you offer additional services?
Yes, we have acupuncture and shockwave therapy.
How many sessions will my dog need?
Every dog is different so in order to determine the best plan of care for your pup, our doctor will give her professional recommendation at the time of the evaluation. Each plan of care is individualized for each pup and can change depending on their needs.
Do you accept Care Credit?
Not at this time. However, we do understand everyone is in a different situation financially, so we offer payment plans and flexible options for rehab directly through our clinic with no interest rates.
Do you accept pet insurance?
Yes! We’ve got you covered! We work with many insurance companies to make care financially feasible and budget friendly for you. To name a few we have worked with Nationwide, Pets Best, Healthy Paws, Lemonade, Pumpkin, Fetch, and more!
What Pawrents Say
“Very happy to have Kelsey help our 15 y.o pug be more comfortable in his old age. We’ve learned a lot more about his back condition, and what we can do to improve his mobility. He loves it when she visits for his PT sessions!”
–Anna W., Napoleon’s mom
“We had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Kelsey! She was knowledgeable, caring and accommodating, and we especially appreciated in-home care. My dog had back surgery at 14 years old and we weren’t sure if he was going to walk again but after 8 sessions he is balanced and freely moving where he needs to go. Highly recommended.”
–Lisette H., Sunny’s mom
“We called many PT in the area and none of them had any appointments. I called Kelsey and she made room for us in her busy schedule due to the severity of our puppy’s condition and timing after her surgery. It was amazing! My recommendation would be to see Kelsey right away to get your puppy on the road to recovery!”
–Robert B., Beep’s dad
